* Communication and information sharing through jam-packed monthly, national conference calls for state leaders and one-on-one consultation on current issues and challenges with which state leaders are grappling.

* Connections among organizations and key constituencies to promote collaboration and coalition-building, including linking local coalitions with affiliates of national organizations.  

* UHCAN's Unity Initiative promotes dialogue and provides tools to help groups working for health care for all around diverse approaches to find common ground, minimize tensions of differences, and become more effective by working better together.  UHCAN offers a facilitated workshop for leaders of groups in the same state or metropolitan area, and for conferences.  

* Mobilization to support health care justice campaigns, both state and national, to meet the demands of the political moment.
